Michael Heller is running for re-election as member of the New York State Democratic Committee, representing the 81stAssembly District. He has a life-long passion for public service and Democratic Party politics. A former President of the Benjamin Franklin Reform Democratic Club, he has held every executive position over his 40-year membership.  Dating back to high school, Mr. Heller has volunteered in countless campaigns.  Holding a BA in Political Science and MPA from Columbia University, he has had an extensive career in public affairs and community/government relations at Montefiore/Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Jacobi/North Central Bronx Hospital, Maimonides Medical Center, St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center, Paterson, and the MTA. Mr. Heller, a former District Manager of Bronx CB 8 and Chair of the Traffic and Transportation Committee, currently serves as President of the Association of Riverdale Co-ops/Condominiums. A common-sense progressive Democrat, he looks for consensus on policies that grow the tent and build the Democratic Party state-wide. He looks forward to another year of leadership, electing Democrats and re-electing President Biden.
