Ben Jackson is running for Male Democratic District Leader of the 81st Assembly District. Ben is a lawyer who works on behalf of unions, pension funds, and retirement systems to hold large corporations and corporate executives accountable. He works at Cohen Milstein, a law firm committed to fighting corporate wrongdoing that has also brought several lawsuits against Donald Trump both during and after his presidency. Ben has been volunteering for Democratic Party campaigns for over twenty years. In 2016, he ran the Democratic Party’s nationwide system of voter assistance and voter protection hotlines, working out of Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign headquarters. He also served on the party’s national voter protection team in 2020. Through this work, he has helped over 70,000 people across the nation protect and exercise their right to vote. Ben’s family has been in New York since the 1880s, when they came here to escape persecution against Jews in Eastern Europe. Several generations later, he and his wife, Anna, are raising their two children, Ruthie and Henry, in Riverdale.
