...And that means immigration matters to us. No issue represents the outrageous, transformational intentions of the Trump regime more than his assault on immigrants. So many issues from racial justice to healthcare intersect with Immigration. Together, let's find ways to stand up to Trump's cruel immigration policies.

Behind it all — all the attacks on healthcare, civil rights, immigrants, the law, the environment and more — is an attack on our democracy. The Trump administration has literally declared its effort to "Traumatize" citizens and overwhelm them with crises. For the Indivisible movement, democracy is the primary issue (read more by downloading their Guide to Democracy on the Brink.) Below is some news specifically concerning democracy, and how we can citizens as they fight for its preservation.

Our shared belief in "liberty and justice for all" is clearly challenged in our current political climate. We have to fight harder than ever to make sure our progress in economic, criminal and racial justice continues. It's an axiom of the Trump Administration that the best way to stay in power is to divide people. But in a diverse borough like the Bronx, that approach won't work. Climate change is one of the signature issues of our time that will extend far into the future. On so many fronts, the Trump administration is conducting an assault on environmental progress and on science itself.
