The Bronx Celebrates Juneteenth
The Bronx will be home to lots of fun events to celebrate Juneteenth. Check these out to find something for you and your family.
Van Cortlandt Park (Broadway and Van Cortlandt Park S, Bronx, NY)
Monday, June 19, 6 p.m.-7:30 p.m.
The Van Cortlandt Park Alliance and the Bronx Arts Ensemble are hosting a free event to celebrate Juneteenth. The event will begin on the deck of the Van Cortlandt Gold House with music and spoken word performances. Then there will be a drum procession to the Enslaved African Burial Ground at which there will be a libation ceremony in memory of the enslaved African people who built Van Cortlandt Park.
