CoVID 19 and the Bronx
More than Band-Aids: Long Term Prospects for the Pandemic Virtual Town Hall: COVID and the BRONX—May 28 3:30-5 p.m. Last week, The New York Times and the Gothamist confirmed what we already know: “Bronx [is] the hardest-hit borough–” |
Because the Bronx is suffering disproportionately from the effects of the COVID-19 epidemic, North West Bronx Indivisible and the North West Bronx Community Clergy Coalition are sponsoring a Zoom Town Hall entitled “COVID and the Bronx.”
Featured speakers are: the honorable Senator Gustavo Rivera, Katie Robbins, director of the Campaign for NY Health and Charmaine Ruddock, Project Director, Bronx Health REACH
Our speakers will discuss the difficult question of how we might emerge from the current chaos with long-term solutions to the conditions that have for years rendered the Bronx 62nd out of 62 NY counties in terms of healthcare outcomes.
Speakers will also address some of the possible complications of this crisis for which our leaders have not prepared, including a second or third wave of cases and the possibility of an environmental catastrophe—a hurricane or heatwave.
To attend, please register at: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/all-bronx-healthcare-forum-tickets-104232873330
For security reasons, only people who have registered will receive the Zoom link to join the meeting.
