Cautious Optimism for 2020

Josh Marshall of TalkingPoints Memo analyzes a poll that by almost all conventional metrics, shows that Trump’s hopes for reelection are slim. We have become pessimistic about these kinds of analysis based on our experience in 2016–few expected Trump to win. Read the entire post to form your own opinion, but for me, the most encouraging datapoint is that 2020 is shaping up to have an historically high voter turnout, which usually good for Democrats. Nonetheless, we cannot afford to take any chances at all on 4 more years. That means all hands on deck!!!
